I met with Joan last week- she is an aspiring model/actress who was updating her portfolio.
We wandered Toronto's waterfront and took these shots. I wanted something that would convey her natural beauty and yet be a little edgy. Can you believe she just had a baby, she looks so fantastic! I wish her the best of luck!

Cheryl

We visited Salmon Arm last week, and  I took advantage of the scenery to do a session with my cousin Cheryl. She recently became engaged to a really nice guy named Dave, and they seem really happy with each other. Cheryl and Dave were kind enough to drive us up to my hometown to visit my grandfather, who is 95. It was a pretty emotional journey for me, wonderful, and incredibly sad at the same time. Cheryl wanted a shoot to capture the moment she is in now, a lovely reason to celebrate. This really resonated with me after seeing my Gramps. All we have are these moments, we must enjoy and celebrate each and every one. Cheryl was a little nervous in front of the camera, but as you can see she had little reason. We even managed to convince Dave to hop in for a few!

Judith

 Last Thursday I had a shoot with my friend  Judith. Judith and I met on a Tv program we were on together, and became fast friends. She is one of those people I adored instantly. She has a serene, happy presence, and the most contagious smile. Judith is a Yoga instructor, as well as a practitioner of Ayurvedic and Indian head massage. She needed some new photos for her blog, and to boost her business. We spent the afternoon chatting away and snapping some pictures, and here is the result.
